GEMS International School Soma Bay (GISS), a new school opening in September 2025 is looking to appoint a Head of Primary from January 2024. 
The Head of Primary will be an inspirational and motivational leader with high expectations and a proven record of raising standards. A proven ability to communicate and prepare for welcoming families to the school in September 2025.
 
School opens September 2025 but they want to appoint in January 2024 – Deadline for apps is 24 March 2024.
 
The Head of Primary will demonstrate the following attributes.

• Creates a culture where staff are motivated, trusted, and encouraged to take initiative and make decisions where they will feel supported to develop their own skills as leaders 
• What you may be lacking in school leadership experience, you will make up for in enthusiasm and mindset. 
• Has excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to meet challenges with optimism 

 
The successful applicants will have the following: 

• Degree certification in addition to a certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent essential. 
• Experience of teaching in an inquiry based programme is essential 
• Proven experience leading/working with Primary stage 
• In addition to being fluent in English, an ability to speak an additional language such as German would be an asset 
• NPQH/ Master’s degree or equivalent desirable
