Geography Teacher

The British School of Bahrain is seeking to appoint an outstanding, committed and energetic Geography Teacher for January 2025. The successful candidate will be experienced in delivering GCSE and A Level Geography to highly motivated and talented students striving for places at some of the world's top Universities with an obvious passion for their subject. The school curriculum is based on the National Curriculum for England and Wales, and offers GCSE and A-Level/BTEC examinations. Involvement in the wider life of this outstandingly successful British School is expected. All teachers are expected to facilitate and maximise the academic progress and pastoral welfare of each assigned student. All teachers have clear teaching, pastoral, and administrative roles as well as an expectation for the commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at all times. Qualifications:
  • Degree in subject, PGCE and QTS or equivalent Teaching Licence
  • Experience teaching GCSE/A Level UK National Curriculum
  • Fluency in English and use of ICT
  • An Enhanced Disclosure/DBS/ACRO Police Check or equivalent, and who is committed to the welfare of all children.
