Head of Primary

An international school in Beijing, China is seeking to appoint a Head of Primary for August 2025.

The Head of Primary is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), bridging the Primary School staff and the Head of School. This role encompasses both teaching and administrative responsibilities, requiring exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. The Head of Primary supports the effective daily management of the Primary School (K–G5), fosters a positive learning environment, and ensures alignment with the school’s philosophy, objectives, and global education model.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified graduate teacher:

  • Master’s degree or above in Education or related discipline
  • PGCE and QTS or equivalent teacher qualification
  • Minimum of Ten Years of teaching experience
  • Three Years of Leadership experience
  • Proven leadership in a primary or international school setting
  • Excellent subject knowledge, and familiarity with international curricula (eg. IBPYP, British, US)
  • Capable with IT in using educational platforms and tools

The school offers a bilingual education to local Chinese children within a state of the art campus which boasts the most outstanding facilities. The school seeks to become an IB school following PYP, MYP and DP as swell as Cambridge. Students are prepared for iGCSE, the IB Diploma and A levels.

All lessons within the secondary school are taught in English, as children are prepared for iGCSE, the IB Diploma and A levels.
